Energetic and fuctional integration of active steering systems

Problem

Peaceful coexistence of active steering systems can not tap the functional and energetic potential. Energetic requirements exceed the power which is provided by the vehicle electric system. Furthermore, functional achievements in the fields of comfort and driving dynamics remain unused.

Goal

Functional and energetic integration of active steering systems with the aim of an enlarged range of functions at minimized energy consumption. The capability is ideally used and negative side-effects are minimized.

Execution

  • Literature and patent research
  • Concept development and appraisal
  • Function development
  • Test and optimization in an experimental vehicle

Approach

An "optimized" steering feeling at minimized energy consumption
